This page describes how you can permanently delete your BookitSocial account, what happens to your data, and how to contact us if you need help.
Delete your account at any time
You don't need to email us, fill out a form, or wait for our approval. Account deletion is one tap in the app.
How to delete from the app
- Open the BookitSocial mobile app
- Tap the Profile tab (bottom right)
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account
- Read the confirmation prompt and tap Delete Account to confirm
You will be signed out immediately, and your account will enter the deletion process.
What happens immediately
- Your profile becomes invisible to other users
- Your Firebase identity is detached from the account
- All active sessions are revoked
- Push notification tokens are deactivated
What happens within 30 days
After 30 days, we permanently anonymise your account:
- Display name becomes "Deleted user"
- Email address is overwritten with an anonymous placeholder
- Phone number and personal details (bio, city, interests) are cleared
- Device records and login history are deleted

For legal and financial reasons, we keep some records even after anonymisation:

Restoring an account
If you change your mind within 30 days, contact us at info@bookitsocial.au. After 30 days, restoration is no longer possible.
